We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting abstracts for presentations and workshop proposals.
CALL FOR PAPERS
SSSB is an inter-disciplinary conference, and therefore we invite abstracts which cover a range of aspects covering death. Whether you are a 'death academic' or a 'death professional', we welcome abstracts for podium presentations, Pecha Kucha presentations, and poster presentations.
Postgraduate students and those working in 'death industries' are particularly encouraged to apply. If you are a student, you may be eligible for a student bursary.
Please note the deadline for abstracts is Friday 16th December 2016. More information on topics and how to submit your abstract can be found on the call for papers page.
We will be running a series of workshops for delegates to attend on the final day of the conference. If your research area/industry would be more suited to a practical approach, we encourage you to submit a workshop proposal. Those running workshops will be asked to run their sessions twice OR run a 'drop in' event for the afternoon.
For example, the Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences will be running a workshop at the Anatomical Sciences Laboratory to explain the process of body donation in a medical education context (more details to follow).
More details on workshops and how to submit a proposal can be found here. Please note that the deadline for workshop proposals is Friday 18th November 2016. If you would like to discuss your ideas or requirements with the Committee, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
